PT Krakatau Chandra Energi held the inauguration of a waste bank and maggot house at the Al-Bustaniyah Islamic Boarding School Education Foundation on December 20 2023 which was officiated directly by the Director of Operations & Business Development Ari Azhar. This inauguration was witnessed directly by the Chairman of the Al-Bustaniyah Foundation, students and waste bank volunteers.

Maggots can be used for agricultural waste, food waste, and even animal waste can become valuable nutrients. Apart from that, maggots can also be used as animal feed which has superior protein compared to other traditional feed.

The waste bank was built to handle waste processing and make people aware of a healthy, clean and tidy environment.

It is hoped that the inauguration of the Garbage Bank and Maggot House will benefit the local community.
